Spitz @ The Kings Cross Social Club FREE ENTRY 5pm.
Katy Carr & The Aviators + Arthur Brick + Will Kevans + Bromide + Spitz DJs
Singer songwriter Katy Carr will be joined by her band The Aviators. Katy employs keyboards, ukulele, voice, cello, percussion and projections. As a trained pilot her music features references to flying, celestial matters and 1940s micro history.
‘Undoubtedly Katy Carr has a sound all of her own.’ Maverick ****
Arthur Brick plays short, sweet, sour and harmonious songs with nods to Fela Kuti, George Jones, Caetano Veloso, Kate Bush among others. Currently in three-piece acoustic form infusing their songs with a greater emphasis on vocal harmony and a reduced rhythm section, the band presents a folkier, more spontaneous take.
Will Kevans – This ‘country flavoured singer song writer can be both delightful and sincere.’ – Q Magazine
Bromide play mid-fi acoustic folk pop!
