My concert will feature songs inspired by Polish wartime history, resilience, and the stories that connect our communities across generations. The day opens at 10:30am with a presentation by Alexander Smaga RIBA, architect of the Polish Air Force Memorial at the Kraków Aviation Museum.  In addition to Katy’s concert PBIC will be hosting a wider celebration at Harpur Square and the Harpur Suite to bring the whole community together, joining forces with:• Stacja Dom Polski Bedford • Polish Parish in Bedford • Polish School in Bedford • PLCA • Bla Bla Bedford • PBIC’S amazing volunteers Expect a full day of: – Live performances – Cultural exhibitions – Family‑friendly attractions – Polish food & local businesses – Community organisations …and much more. 🎉 Afterparty at Stacja Dom Polski Bedford This is a free community event — everyone is welcome.  🎖️ MONTE CASSINO COMMEMORATIONS – 16–18 MAY 2026📍 Piedimonte San Germano, Province of Frosinone, Italy From 16–18 May, I will travel to Italy to take part in the Battle of Monte Cassino commemorations, marking the 82nd anniversary of the breakthrough of the Gustav Line and the liberation of the Cassinate region.  I have received a formal and deeply moving invitation from Damiano Parravano, President of ASSOCIAZIONE LINEA GUSTAV – Centro Studi e Ricerche Storico Militari (Sede legale: Via Termine Piumarola n.15, 03030 Piedimonte San Germano, FR). I have been invited as a distinguished guest and performer, in collaboration with the Municipalities of Coreno Ausonio and Piedimonte San Germano. This includes performing selections from my repertoire, as well as honouring the occasion with the Polish and Italian national anthems, and the US and UK anthems according to the dignitaries present. I am deeply grateful to the Polonia Aid Foundation Trust, who have generously provided my artist fee for this important commemoration. The Polish Senate has designated 2026 as the Year of Mieczysław Fogg, and this event celebrates the 125th anniversary of his birth.This unique evening will explore:  – 1930s Polish cabaret culture – Fogg’s role as a symbol of wartime resistance – His humanitarian work and legacy – His influence on contemporary musicians Cultural journalist Dr Juliette Bretan will guide audiences through Fogg’s extraordinary life with stories, historical insights, and a visual presentation. I will perform songs inspired by his repertoire and the era he helped define. 🌼 1940s POLISH HERITAGE FETE – 80 YEARS OF CHECKENDON ARMY CAMP Katy Carr performs at the 1940s Polish Heritage Fete, marking 80 years since the arrival of Allied Polish troops at the Checkendon army camp. Official welcome and performances begin at 1pm.
