🌲 A Special Thank You to Nick Sweeney
I want to send a heartfelt and poetic thank you to the wonderful Nick Sweeney, who recently shared a beautifully tender cover of my song “Wejmutka – The Weymouth Pines.” 🌲🎶Nick’s version brings a quiet grace to the piece—his voice and ukulele capturing the wistful spirit and layered memory within the song. Though he modestly describes himself as more of an instrumentalist than a singer, I found his interpretation deeply moving. There’s something so honest and endearing in the way he inhabits the melody, even as he admits to forgetting a few lyrics (in both English and Polish!). That vulnerability only adds to the charm. 💫🎧 You can listen to his lovely rendition here: Watch on facebook :- https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1ZvCtTVQfN/
Nick, thank you for breathing new life into “Wejmutka.” It’s a joy to see this song take root in other voices and hearts. And yes—your PJ’s travel ukulele sounds absolutely magical. ✨
To you—kindred spirits, seekers of truth, dreamers in song and shadow,
Thank you, as always, for walking this path with me—through melody, memory, and imagination. 🎶✨Your support lifts every note I sing and gives meaning to every story I share. Whether you’ve joined me in a quiet concert hall, danced with me under the open sky, tuned in from afar, or simply carried these songs in your heart—you are part of this journey. It’s your presence, your kindness, and your curiosity that keep this creative flame alive. 💫 I’m endlessly grateful for the way you listen, reflect, and connect—not just with the music, but with the history, the heritage, and the hope woven into every lyric. Here’s to more songs, more stories, and more shared moments to come. Until we meet again—on stage, on air, or in spirit thank you for being part of this beautiful community. 💖
With all my love and music, Katy Carr 🎤🌹
