I am delighted to be featured in the Royal Air Force News with regards my concert on 28th November for William Blake’s Birthday at The Tate Britain.

Singer songwriter Katy Carr will be performing her unique compositions of William Blake Songs of Innocence and Experience at the Tate Britain in London later this month.

This free event takes place at 1 pm at the Blake room on November 28th to celebrate the Poet and Painterโ€˜s birthday. He was born on November 28, 1757.

An award-winning British recording artist Katy who has released six albums, rediscovered her Polish roots in 2009 and is now an ambassador of Polish history in Britain. Her albums Paszport, Polonia and Providence are inspired by the Polish World War II experience. She has performed her music internationally appeared on high profile radio stations, including the BBC Radio 4 today program and the Robert elms BBC RADIO LONDON show and with her group Katy Carr and The Aviators has played at festivals including Glastonbury and WOMAD festival.

The multi instrumentalist who plays the piano ukulele banjolele said,

‘I am currently working on a double album of Blakeโ€™s Songs of Innocence and Of Experience to be released in 2027 marking 200 years since his death.
