Thank you so much to The Polish British Integration Centre and the Brady family Malgosia and Zofia, Lucyna Ratajczyk and to the whole team who arte bringing this wonderful event together. The event is always a great success and everybody has a wonderful time listening to the great bands and the celebration of British Polish friendship. All welcome and Alexander Smaga the RIBA Royal Institute of British Architect chartered architect is kindly joining us for this special Polish Heritage Days event and will also give a special presentation of his inspiring Polish Air Force Memorial in Normandy and new crowdfunder initiative for D-DAY80.

❤️A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who purchased and supported Alexander’s DDAY 80 Pin badge campaign and below lovely words from Maciek Bator & For Your Freedom and Ours Foundation who wrote a lovely comment- Today could not have been a more fitting day to receive our D-Day badges, reminding us of the contribution the Polish forces made to the D-Day effort designed by Polish Air Force Monument in Normandy🇵🇱 During the Second World War, the Polish Armed Forces stood alongside the Allies and played a significant role in the success of D-Day and the Normandy campaign. The Polish Air Force, including the Polish No. 131 Wing including Ni 302 “City of Poznan”, No 308 “City of Kraków” and No 317 “City of Wilno Squadrons)”, provided vital air cover and support during the Normandy landings. The Polish Naval Forces, with ships like ORP Błyskawica and ORP Piorun, escorted Allied vessels, engaged in combat in the English Channel, and offered gunfire support. The 1st Polish Armoured Division, under General Stanisław Maczek, made significant contributions in closing the Falaise Pocket during the later stages of the Normandy campaign.

All the soldiers who fought at the Battle of Monte Cassino 1944 – 250000 Allied soldiers -18th May 1944 was the Polish Victory.
I found this four leaf clover 🍀 when I asked my Polish mother Krystyna RIP to send me a sign if she was thinking of me 🍀 A divine gift to find a rare four leaf clover at The Battle of Monte Cassino 80th anniversary in Italy 🇮🇹 1944 -2024 – spirit was definitely talked to me in the holy location of the Polish cemetery ✝️🙏 as we all remembered and paid homage to honour the brave and fallen who fought – For Our Freedom and Yours – Za nasza i waszą wolność … #lestweforget🌹 — at Polski Cmentarz Wojenny na Monte Cassino. The remarkable history of the Polish soldiers was that many had survived Stalin’s notorious slave trade in Siberia and fought for freedom 1000s of miles away from their homeland of Poland which was then in WWII under German and Russian slavery and occupation. Bravery is a trait of the Polish nation despite the fact that post WWII the brave Polish soldiers, airmen, navy, military and entire nation who foughht alongside the Allied forces in WWII were systematically tortured and murdered on their return to Poland for a second reign of terror by the new far left totalitarian Communist terrorist state which lasted between 1939 – 1989.

Kazik Piechowski RIP (1919 – 2017) – a dear friend of mine, Polish boy scout Kazik Piechowski escaped from #Auschwitz#otd 20th Jun 1942 and inspired the film Kazik and the Kommander’s Car where I presented him with my song inspired by his escape. I had tried so many times prior to meeting Kazik to return to Poland and all the routes had been blocked through my family’s ancestral trauma connected with the effects of the far left totalitarian communist regime and far right German WWII totalitarianism.It was Kazik’s belief in me and him who inspired the Polish door to open and let me in to Poland again and I could blast through the door with my 50 self penned, produced and released songs on my trilogy of albums dedicated to the Polish WWII experience Paszport Polonia and Provodence
I hope the door to Poland stays open doesn’t slam shut on me again. Kazik injected me with his love of Poland and patriotism to his country despite enduring gross human tragedy being a victim of both far right and far left totalitarianism during his life – he was only to taste freedom at 70 years old when the Iron Curtain fell. I thank Polish scouting skills for saving his life and for his strength and resilience to always ‘Be Prepared’ the scout motto Czuwaj which he greeted me at every meeting I had with him.My friendship with Kazik will stay with me always. I wish there were more people in the world like Kazik – he was one in a million to me and literally as only 144 people including my own Polish Grandfather who ever escaped from the hell of Auschwitz. I am here doing my music because my Polish Grandfather Jozef Auschwitz prisoner no 22661 escaped and because Kazik RIP inspired me
