Triumphantly returning to the UK following a New York run, Pants on Fire’s METAMORPHOSES presents ancient myths as you’ve never seen them before… and now, to celebrate the end of an extensive tour, we invite you to join the company at the theatre for a unique tea party!
This swell party fuses live original music and song, magical stagecraft and breathtaking imagery relocating Ovid’s epic tales of fantastical transformation to WWII Britain.
Cupid is an evacuee with a catapult. Narcissus, an iconic Hollywood heartthrob drooling over his own cinematic image, and The Chorus – Andrews-like sisters finding close harmony amid cosmic chaos.
Tales of love, gods, heroics and monsters are retold by blending gas masks, gramophones, puppetry, film and live original music. Pants on Fire’s METAMORPHOSES is a dynamic, moving, darkly comic and unforgettable night out.

The Guardian

Constantly surprising and endlessly inventive, Ovid’s Metamorphoses is a theatrical delight which rewrites the possibilities of literary adaptation with outstanding success. I challenge anyone not to be enchanted by this production: such a spellbinding spectacle deserves to be sincerely applauded.
