I will be singing at 3.30pm in the teadance reception during the interval of ‘Metamorphoses’ which is a theatre piece telling all of Ovid’s Greek myths, set in the 1940s and full of live music, puppetry and tricks. Stop stoning, save Sakineh!

My friend Vit sent me this message and I am sharing it with you – 15 people are on death row awaiting death by stoning in Iran, but yesterday a woman was saved from this brutal killing by a massive international campaign. Global voices of condemnation saved her from stoning. There is an urgent petition you can sign to the Iranian government to put an end this sickening brutality once and for all and I thought you would want the link.

i love fiona bevan and her delightful music…

I had the great pleasure of supporting Fiona Bevan at the 15 minute factory last Sunday night and promised that I would write a review of her latest record ‘Plant your Heart.’ I can’t give it any less than top marks and I can’t stop listening to her luxurious voice. Fiona’s presence on stage was electrifying and completely gripping. Her guitar playing is great and she has a great and open stage presence. Her songs are delicate little musettes filled with cute little ironies – almost seem to be written by tree elves and gnomes playing with our hearts and spinning us around into their silk web….Fiona Bevan's lovely album 'Plant your heart' (more…)
